MindNode 4 App Reviews

A great idea

Its a concept most of us are familiar with, but as an app. Its capacity for productivity could be expanded by collaboration with the Things app. (:

This is for the Apple Watch

This is a 5 star on other devices but it just crashes on Apple Watch. Its not actually necessary there its just that it doesnt work.

Great app for visualizing a plan.

The new task syncing is nice

Too hierarchical in design

The maps that this app lets you design are too hierarchical. I would prefer a mode where every node is its own independent idea, and then links are made, with the ability to recenter a map on any individual node to see the items that connect to it. Also the user guide doesnt have any pictures. At least none that display on my device. I think my ideal app would be The Brain, but with the ability to use iCloud or Dropbox.

I love it and I sometimes cry

The title is funny, but to be honest, this app is legit like something useful and sometimes a good tool to remind yourself of goals that your inner self thinks hard about but you forget, if that makes sense? I was about to delete this app one day cause it looked like it was taking up stoa the but I didnt because I re read my goals that took me a while to think of and it kind of refreshed my mind of things I have forget about. Once I read certain things, I had an epiphany and a long moment of silence; the kind that makes you almost tear up cause you reflected a lot. Anyways, this app is possibly one of the best apps for reuniting your inner thoughts . On top of that I also use this app for my monthly marketing at work to answer the 5 W questions! Its a major help guys!!

Been waiting for these!

Ive been long waiting for these task and reminder features. Will continue to wait for it on the watch... I know it would be a killer feature!

Excellent mind mapping tool

Gets the job done. Great features like check box and notes. Mac app integrates with the reminders. Great tool!

Revised Review

Love it on the Apple Watch! I dont really like creating the maps on my phone because its a bit tedious and sometimes doesnt do what I want, but it looks amazing and is super easy to follow on the watch.

Great Study Tool

Great way to organize my thoughts in a new way. I really like having options for multiple main nodes as well as customizable connections. A nice touch as well is the ability to add extra yet hidden notes to any item meaning you can have a simple outline but still keep all the detail. Seems a little pricey at first, especially when you consider having to pay separately for the OS X version, but I am happy to support the good work this team has done and MindNode has become an invaluable study tool for me. +++ An update to this review... The MindNode support team has been super helpful and responsive whenever Ive encountered an issue (usually user error on my part!) and I commend them for their quick and helpful replies! This is uncommon trait is greatly appreciated! Ive also found that adding images and icons, though not super intuitive at first, has been extremely useful, and yes, you CAN resize them - just pull the right dot that appears on the image to change its size, then double tap the left dot to size the text box appropriately (this should make sense when you do it!). In the future, I could see the option to export my maps in outline format to be extremely useful but as of yet the RTF and plain text options are just slightly lacking in functionality and would love to see how this could be further developed.

Top Notch

!Fantastic! app: comprehensive functionality, intuitively easy, and powerful. A must in anyones organization toolbox.

Terrible

App would be nice if you could actually use it without freezing and crashing every session. This renders it completely useless.

Computer Scientists will love it!

This is an awesome tool to draw binary trees and all that good stuff. Its awesome!

Really not useful on a small screen and pricey

I love using mind map tools to study and this one is beautiful (3 stars simply for the beauty and ease of use). I was lucky to receive this as a free app from Starbucks, but my phone screen (5s) is too small to really appreciate it. I like it much better on a laptop, but Im not going to pay $30 to use it, especially when there are free systems available. Way too expensive for a student!

Amazing! Surprisingly Astounded.

Thought it was a useless app at first and then used it for the first time and fell in love with it. It organizes and cleared up messy notes that are done one paper. Also really simple to use and easy to customize. The keyboard short cuts are really convenient to use. I have a new wonderful notes app. Definitely worth the money (if possible get if free from Starbucks app)

Great app!

As it has already been written in one of reviews - JUST BUY IT!! Simple and efficient in use. Friendly interface. Overall great! but please improve iCloud sync!

THE mind mapping tool

This is an excellent tool to help with mapping. Ideas are grouped and color-coded. Branches can be easily detached and reattached as necessary. All around a wonderful tool for those who like to stay organized.

Powerful tool for students

I use this in conjunction with a physical bullet journal. Its a great way to plan out my week for assignments and other tasks.

Nice and intuitive, but buggy

I love the UI, its versatility, ease of operation and configurability. Unfortunately, Ive had two big issues while using it. The first being that a document I was working on for a while disappeared after I hit the grid button on the upper left. No warning, no crash, no recoverability. My second issue occurred after the previous incident (w/I five minutes). When creating a new document, the app keeps crashing. There was some recoverability on the new document though. Id give it more stars if I was confident that it wouldnt vaporize my documents after I spent ½ hour working on them.

Best Note Taking App On The App Store!

I dont like to review apps that much. But this is probably my most used/favorite app.

The Best App to Visualize Complex Ideas!

MindNode is absolutely the best way to intuitively and beautifully visualize complex ideas. There is very little learning curve when you first start using the app and it seamlessly syncs over iCloud to iPhone, iPad and Mac. Once you have finished your visualization to your liking, you can create a PDF or print a physical copy to share with the world. Mind mapping apps are great for presenting important concepts and MindNode is the best and classiest way to make an impact.
